Pied À Terre: Central Cannes Living
This Cannes home, joining the Montfleury Pied À Terre Collection, is the perfect way to welcome its owners to the beautiful Côte D'Azur. Located in a prime position on Avenue du Prince de Galles, the apartment takes its name from this distinguished address. It offers easy access to La Croisette, the beaches, and luxury boutiques, while remaining just moments from Cannes’ renowned restaurants, cultural landmarks, and the iconic Palais des Festivals.
Well-connected to local amenities, the area blends convenience with quiet sophistication. From the Montfleury apartment, residents enjoy a close-up view of the neighborhood’s elegant architecture and serene atmosphere. Let’s step inside and discover the allure of this charming coastal retreat.
Open-Concept Living with Effortless Flow and Refined Charm
Early in the renovation, the layout of the spacious 78 sqm apartment was reimagined to include a private bathroom for each of the two bespoke bedrooms, thoughtfully tailored to suit the Homeowners' needs. Meanwhile, the apartment’s open-concept design was preserved, creating a seamless flow from the kitchen through the living area to the balcony. Surrounded by greenery, the balcony invites abundant summer light into the space, enhancing the apartment’s warm and airy atmosphere.
Combining outdoor and indoor living
Large doors and a well-designed 18 sqm terrace blur the line between interior and exterior, allowing the Mediterranean breeze to flow through. Facing south, the terrace also captures the brilliant southern French light, infusing the Avenue du Prince with warmth and charm. Greenery and natural materials continue onto the terrace, extending the interior palette and creating a quiet, cohesive space that reflects the relaxed pace of Riviera life. This extended living area offers flexibility for hosting, allowing guests to comfortably gather and enjoy the flow of indoor-outdoor living.
The open-plan living room of the Cannes, Montfleury Collection apartment boasts a high-end wooden finished kitchen that contrasts the warm beige tones of the interior.

Mediterranean Spirit, Curated with Care
Exploring Antique Elegance and Curated Details That Evoke the Riviera
The space is anchored by antique wooden furniture and handwoven tapestry that bring the Mediterranean story and feel into this charming home. A locally crafted tapestry depicting Cannes’ famed beachfront adds texture and history to the room, while hand-painted ceramic plates, sourced from regional artisans, bring subtle elements of Riviera life into view. Wall-mounted wooden paddles with coastal design echo the rhythm of the ocean, bringing a subtle sense of movement into the space.
Colours that evoke the essence of the Riviera have been carefully selected to fill the Avenue du Prince and reflect the hues of sunlight and waves. As is the August Way, the space reflects a deep appreciation for the area’s cultural and artisanal heritage through carefully curated pieces and décor by local artists.
Design that embodies the effortless elegance and coastal spirit
While the Montfleury apartment’s layout largely remained the same, the living space underwent a significant stylistic transformation. A Riviera-inspired palette, featuring warm whites, mustard-yellow accents, and rich wood tones, infuses the room with a distinctly Mediterranean atmosphere. Between the expansive sliding doors and light-filled windows stands a statement wall, home to a curated selection of furnishings and objets d’art. Each piece hand-picked by August’s designers, to thoughtfully capture the essence of Cannes.
A Moody Mediterranean Kitchen
The kitchen continues this Mediterranean narrative. The full-height cabinetry in warm walnut wood grounds the space, and offers both texture and moody elegance. A creamy stone backsplash adds softness and balance, while integrated appliances ensure the fully equipped kitchen maintains its clean, minimalist aesthetic. At the centre, the curved dining table and wooden chairs invite casual gathering, their clean form echoing the tranquility seen throughout the home. Thoughtful pops of colour, like the orange vase with its bouquet and a vibrant fruit platter, soften the wood tones and add a lively contrast to the kitchen’s warm, grounded palette.

Inside the coastal chamber get-aways
The seaside inspiration continues in the bedrooms of the Avenue du Prince, where a beach cabana theme is introduced. Custom headboards, sculpted in soft, undulating waves aim to echo the rhythm of the sea, bringing a sense of fluidity and relaxation to the bedrooms. The colour palette continues to reflect the Mediterranean with soothing blues and sandy neutrals which evoke the hues of the coastline.
A Coastal Escape in Soft Yellows
The primary bedroom echoes the tones of the warm Riviera shore, with soft yellow hues appearing in the custom wavy headboard, the pendant lighting, and the rattan-fronted wardrobe. On either side of the cabana-like bed, the pendant lights cast a gentle glow reminiscent of the summer sun. Artwork lines the walls behind the bed and above the vintage desk, adding texture and depth to the space while tying the room’s seaside elements together.
An Oceanic Retreat: The Secondary Bedroom
The second bedroom evokes the warmth and depth of the sea, with a custom headboard featuring soft blue stripes that mimic the gentle motion of ocean waves. A wavy mirror beside the rattan-fronted wardrobe, matching the principal bedroom, adds both texture and a sense of movement to the space. Above the vintage nightstand, doubling as a chest of drawers, hangs a deep blue artwork, resembling the layered tones of the ocean.
As seen in both the primary and secondary bedrooms, the combination of rich vintage wood, soft curves and hues of yellow and light blue, create a blend of textures and visual warmth to the space.
Antique Elegance Woven into Beachside Bedrooms
In the primary bedroom, an antique desk and chest of drawers introduce a sense of history and character, their timeworn patina offering a subtle contrast to the space’s clean, modern lines. As seen in both the bedrooms, the natural texture of the rattan-fronted wardrobe adds both visual interest and tactile warmth, further anchoring the room in a quiet, vintage charm. By thoughtfully integrating these antique elements, the August design team skillfully wove past and present together, shaping bedrooms that balance coastal ease with timeless elegance.
