The Apartment: Such a surprise
Athénaïs Dunod, Head of Real Estate, says:
I chose this property especially due to these windows and the ceiling height – it’s more than four metres! This apartment was such a pleasant surprise because you usually do not get two-bedroom apartments with such features. It has an impressive entrance, this very wide and long corridor, which gives a feeling of entering a super-exclusive 400 sqm apartment.
Interior Inspiration
“In creating our first Paris home, we sought to create a stylish city haven,” says Max Lozinski, Head of Design at August.
“Taking direct influence from the galleries of Le Marais, we kept a clean, neutral palette throughout so the architectural volumes speak for themselves.
Our pre-renovation walkthrough shows the raw harmonious blend of old-world charm and modern sophistication that we have achieved in the Paris home.
Large dramatic canvasses adorn the wall and contemporary furniture sits comfortably alongside vintage and antique pieces. Bedrooms provide calm respite from the hustle and bustle of the city, with pattern and colour coming in via the curtain fabric.”
“We think of this city as truly elegant and its architecture is orderly, repetitive and grand. This really dictated our approach on design.
As such, we created one of our grandest entrances ever – a long, light filled corridor mixing ornate gold mirrors with more contemporary lighting and furniture. (Our little nod to the Hall of Mirrors in Versailles, pictured below.)

The colour palette is a play of complementing neutrals and textures with bold botanical patterns. In the bedrooms, the four-metre high curtains, in a botanical print from Gotain, are dramatic and cosy.
The kitchen and built-ins have classic panelling details which are complementary to the building period while our furniture and lighting touches on the modern.
The Koons inspired chrome and velvet oversized lounge chairs, by HK Living, are the focal piece of the room.”

Max sums up the city: “Paris is inherently stylish and full of energy and inspiration."
