Our co-owners Hendrik and Hilde from Signature Collection decided to spend a day in Bibury, which is nestled in the banks of the River Coln. This little village is so peaceful and it’s known for one of the most iconic and famous streets in the Cotswolds - Arlington Row. It’s famous for the little cottages that feature inside all British passports!
The Cotswolds is so gorgeous all year round with plenty to do for August Families and travellers of all kinds. Spend a day in one of the farms or wildlife parks, or visit the 150 lakes in the Cotswolds Water Park. For history enthusiasts, the area is steeped in history, visit Sudeley Castle which used to be the home for Queen Catherine Parr or take a look at the famous Avebury Ring which is known as one of the greatest marvels of prehistoric Britain.
No matter where in the Cotswolds you are, you can enjoy views of the honey-coloured houses, some prosperous manor houses and endless rolling hills.
Make sure you pop into the local pubs for some traditional British food and sticky toffee pudding - Cotswolds is the paradise for foodies as you will not find many chain restaurants in the area. The independent cafés and restaurants offer excellent food and pastries, made with fresh and locally sourced ingredients.
If you do feel like spending a day in a bigger city, some of the iconic English cities such as Bath, Bristol or Oxford are all within good connectivity from The Cotswolds.
