Embrace the timeless charm of an English countryside retreat

A quintessentially English Country home beckons through the mature gardens. Inside, the taller amongst us will have to duck between the door frames that are quaint and seemingly from another time. The cosy rooms, encased within Cotswold Stone showcase exposed beams creating an inviting and warm environment. Wooden panelling and bold colours inspired by the local area level up the charm a notch. But no trip here would be complete without a dip in the roll-top bath, a must for whiling away an Autumn Sunday. About the neighbourhood

The Cottage is positioned on the southern side of the Windrush Valley in the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It is located on a quiet lane between Old Minster village and the hamlet of Little Minster. The whole area is extremely picturesque and steeped in history with Old Minster being home to an English Heritage site, a church dating back to 1450 plus many other fine buildings. Within easy walking distance is the Old Swan which is a lovely gastro pub and country inn with the Old Minster Mill hotel being across the road. As a perfect base for exploring the area, there are multiple National Trust sites, walking routes and cycle ways on the doorstep. The popular villages of Burford, Kingham, Charlbury and Lechlade, along with a plethora of great dining pubs sit within a twenty minute radius. It will only take you 10 minutes drive to get to the busier Witney where you will find all amenities. The cottage is only a 20 minutes drive to Charlbury train station that links you to central London in 1h20. Heathrow Airport is within a 1hr drive.
