Grand Pied à Terre Collection

A grand period apartment in the heart of Prati, where coffered ceilings, reclaimed marble and rich timber tell a story that is distinctly, unmistakably Roman.

Set on the third floor of a traditional Roman building, this home reveals its character room by room. A study lined with floor-to-ceiling timber bookcases opens into a generous coffered ceilings above, a deep red marble fireplace anchoring the space below. In the kitchen, a bespoke terrazzo floor was created using marble reclaimed from the building itself, quietly connecting past to present. Throughout, the home balances heritage and modernity in the way that only Rome seems to allow: graceful, characterful, and effortlessly comfortable.

About the neighbourhood

Prati is the Rome that Romans actually live in, unhurried, elegant, and entirely itself. Wide, tree-lined avenues and Art Nouveau facades set the tone, while the neighbourhood rhythm builds around morning espressos and long lunches. Via Marianna Dionigi sits close to Ponte Sant'Angelo, with Piazza Navona and Campo de' Fiori reachable on foot through streets that feel unchanged for generations. Local markets, hidden courtyards and trattorias that don't advertise themselves are all within easy reach. It is a refined residential setting immersed in the history, cultural richness, and beauty of Rome.

Design Direction

Interior Designer

Rome is not a city of quiet minimalism, and the interiors needed to carry some of that confidence: stone, warmth, rhythm and richness, without becoming theatrical. Where the apartment still held its original fabric wallpaper, we reclaimed sections, framed them and returned them to the study as artwork. The past was not erased. It was reframed.
