A Premium European Lifestyle, by Bike

There are few better ways to understand a place than by bike. The pace changes and landscapes reveal themselves more gradually, from winding mountain climbs to quiet village squares. Across the Premium Collection, cycling has naturally become part of how many Homeowners experience the regions around them, whether it’s an early morning ride through the Alps or a slower route between Tuscan hill towns. For one Homeowner, cycling has become part of almost every August stay. “Whenever I’m at one of the properties,” he explains, “I’ll look at the local routes and just decide where to go from there.” From mountain roads above Megève to the quieter Riviera hinterland and the rolling landscapes of Tuscany, these are some of the routes and regions our Homeowners continue returning to.
The Alps
Around Demi-Quartier and Megève, cycling feels expansive. Roads wind through forests before suddenly opening onto panoramic views of Mont Blanc, while climbs connect quiet alpine villages that offer the perfect stop for a deserved treat along the way.
For stronger road cyclists, one of the most rewarding routes begins in Megève before looping through Praz-sur-Arly and Flumet, eventually climbing toward Col des Saisies before descending back toward the valley. The route balances longer alpine climbs with gentler stretches through traditional Savoyard villages, where terrace cafés and boulangeries naturally become part of the ride itself.
For something slightly less demanding but equally scenic, the road toward Combloux offers some of the best uninterrupted Mont Blanc views in the region, particularly in the early morning light.
Cycling culture runs deeply through this part of the Alps. As Homeowner Paul notes, “Some of these homes are on routes that the Tour de France either passes through or nearby each year.” During the summer months especially, the roads around Megève become filled with riders preparing for longer alpine climbs, while Chamonix and the surrounding region attract mountain bikers from across Europe.
With the upcoming Terme Collection's Premium home in Demi-Quartier also positioned within easy reach of many of these routes, it naturally lends itself to slower summer days spent exploring the surrounding villages and mountain roads before returning home to quieter alpine evenings in the sauna, a dinner on the terrace and the feeling of having properly earned both.

The Riviera Hinterland
While the South of France is often associated with the coastline, some of the region’s best riding begins inland, where roads move through olive groves, pine forests and perched villages that feel far removed from the pace of the Riviera, and where the upcoming Premium home already feels naturally part of the landscape.
From Tourrettes-sur-Loup, one of the most iconic local climbs takes riders toward Gourdon, a route well known amongst cyclists across the South of France. The road gradually rises through dramatic limestone landscapes before arriving at the medieval village itself, where panoramic sea views stretch all the way toward the coast below.
For a slower stop along the way, the terrace at Café de l’Union in Gourdon offers the perfect pause before the descent back toward Tourrettes-sur-Loup.
Homeowner Paul, who has cycled extensively around the region, often returns to both the quieter inland roads and the coastline itself. “Cannes to Nice is a really beautiful route,” he explains, “which is nearly all on a cycle path, so that is great. There are also some more challenging routes inland.”
That balance perhaps defines cycling here best, the ability to move between sea and mountains within a single ride, before returning home for slower evenings overlooking the hills.

Through Tuscany
Cycling in Tuscany feels woven into everyday life. Throughout the quieter roads surrounding Palaia, cyclists move steadily between hill towns, vineyards and olive groves, often stopping in village squares for espresso before continuing on toward the next climb.
One of the most rewarding routes from the area loops through San Miniato and Peccioli before returning toward Palaia itself. The terrain rolls continuously rather than climbing sharply, making it ideal for longer days in the saddle where the landscape gradually unfolds around you.
Along the route, small trattorias and local bakeries become part of the experience as much as the cycling itself. In Tuscany, the pauses feel just as important as the ride.
As Paul describes, “In both Tuscany and Mallorca you see cyclists out in groups or singles all the time.” The region’s quieter roads, strong cycling culture and slower pace naturally lend themselves to this kind of riding, less about speed, and more about immersion in the landscape itself.
Evenings then return naturally to the rhythm of the home, outdoor dinners, long tables, and the warmth that settles across the Tuscan hills as the day cools.

Mallorca, Next
Mallorca already feels like a natural addition to the Premium Collection, particularly for those drawn to cycling. And with this being the final home we are currently searching for to complete the upcoming Terme Collection, we want to take full advantage of everything the island has to offer.
With searches currently focused around Sóller, Pollença and Santanyí, the island offers access to some of Europe’s most celebrated cycling terrain, from dramatic mountain climbs within the Serra de Tramuntana to quieter coastal roads and rolling inland routes.
For Premium homeowner Martijn, one of Mallorca’s most memorable rides begins in the square of Fornalutx before immediately climbing into the dramatic mountain roads surrounding Sa Calobra. Along the route, riders pass the famous Nus de Sa Corbata hairpin bend before reaching the Sa Calobra Needle, where the road opens onto panoramic views of the twisting mountain descent below.
Further along sits the Gorg Blau Aqueduct, an unexpectedly striking architectural moment within the landscape itself, before the route eventually descends toward the Port of Sa Calobra, where crystal-clear water and quieter coves offer the perfect finish after a longer ride.
Paul has similarly found himself repeatedly returning to the island for cycling holidays. “Port de Sóller is just at the foot of the Serra de Tramuntana mountains,” he explains, “and there are a lot of cycle teams based around there because the terrain is so good.”
What makes Mallorca particularly special is how naturally cycling integrates into daily life on the island itself. Early morning climbs are followed by long lunches overlooking the sea, while quieter evening rides offer a completely different experience once the heat begins to soften.
As the final chapter of the Terme Collection continues to unfold, Mallorca feels like a fitting place to complete it.
The Collections, Explored Slowly
Across each region, cycling reveals something slightly different. In the Alps, it’s scale and altitude. In the South of France, the relationship between coastline and hills. In Tuscany, rhythm and pace. And in Mallorca, the sense that the entire island has been shaped around life outdoors.
What connects them all is the ability to experience these places more slowly, and more deeply, than you otherwise might.
For those interested in discovering more about the Premium Terme Collection, only two opportunities now remain within the entire collection. With demand continuing to grow across each destination, our team would be delighted to share more details below.
