About the Collection

In 1912, the painter Santiago Rusiñol gave Mallorca a name it has never quite shaken. He came from Barcelona, a city in a hurry, and found an island that refused to be. He painted its gardens and its courtyards, wrote about the almond blossom and the long afternoons, and called his book L'illa de la calma. The island of calm.

More than a century later, the calm is still here. It has simply moved a little further from the shore. It lives in the stone villages, in the shade of the olive terraces, in the hour after lunch when the whole island seems to exhale.

The Calma Collection is built around that hour. Four homes across Mallorca, the South of France, Tuscany and the French Alps, each chosen for where it sits, in places set apart where life moves at its own rhythm, and designed to hold that pace. Days that begin with coffee on a warm terrace and end without anyone checking the time.
